CNHRPC began the biennial update of the Regional Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) to cover Fiscal Years 2019-2028 on December 16, 2016.
CNHRPC is now soliciting new regional transportation projects to be considered for inclusion in the 2019-2028 TIP. Projects can be submitted using the Project Proposal Form. The Project Proposal Guidelines provide more information on how to complete the Project Proposal Form. Project Proposal Forms are due no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. For assistance with project proposals please contact Dean Williams at firstname.lastname@example.org
The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is the central program management tool for structuring transportation improvements in the region. The TIP is to be fully consistent with the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) and the planning process. The projects identified in the TIP will concur with the goals, policies, and objectives of the Regional Long Range Transportation Plan.
The FY 2017-2026 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) consists of a list of transportation projects for the Central New Hampshire Regional Planning Commission (CNHRPC) region that are consistent with the goals and vision established in the comprehensive Regional Transportation Plan, adopted in April, 2015.
In New Hampshire, each of the nine regional planning commissions prepares a Regional TIP every two years based on input from local municipalities, NHDOT and each planning commission’s Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC).
(NHDOT) State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) or Ten Year Plan.
2017-2026 Ten Year Plan (TYP)
New Hampshire RSA 228:99 and RSA 240 require that NHDOT propose a plan for improvements to the State’s transportation system every two years. The purpose of the Ten Year Plan is to develop and implement a plan allowing NH to fully participate in federally supported transportation improvement projects as well as to outline projects and programs funded with State transportation dollars.
CNHRPC’s Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) proposed and ranked regionally significant projects for CNHRPC’s Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) in the Spring of 2015. CNHRPC submitted six (6) eligible projects to be included in the State’s 2017-2026 TYP. The top three ranked projects in the region were all incorporated into the Draft Plan. NHDOT held 16 public hearings with the Governor’s Advisory Council on Intermodal Transportation (GACIT) before creating a final plan to be considered by the NH Legislature. The only meeting that occurred in the CNHRPC region was held at NHDOT in Concord on September 24th.
