In New Hampshire, each of the nine regional planning commissions prepares a Regional TIP every two years based on input from local municipalities, NHDOT and each planning commission’s Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC). This is concurrent with the New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) and Ten Year Plan update.

New Hampshire RSA 228:99 and RSA 240 require that NHDOT propose a plan for improvements to the State’s transportation system every two years. The purpose of the Ten Year Plan is to develop and implement a plan allowing NH to fully participate in federally supported transportation improvement projects as well as to outline projects and programs funded with State transportation dollars.

FY 2023-2032 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)

The FY 2023-2032 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) consists of a list of transportation projects for the Central New Hampshire  Regional Planning Commission (CNHRPC) region that are consistent with the goals and vision established in the comprehensive Regional Transportation Plan, adopted in April, 2015.

CNHRPC’s Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) proposed and ranked regionally significant projects for CNHRPC’s TIP in the Spring of 2021. On March 31, 2021 CNHRPC’s Full Commission adopted the TIP and regional priorities.
