In 2018, the Warner River Corridor was designated as a protected river by the state’s Rivers Management and Protection Program for its outstanding natural and cultural resources. The five waterfront towns of Bradford, Sutton, Warner, Webster, and Hopkinton have come together with the help of the Central New Hampshire Regional Planning Commission to draft a Corridor Management Plan, with the intent to increase the information base about the Warner River’s natural resources and to better publicize that information to the public. This will allow decision makers to be better informed in making their land use decisions along the protected corridor, including natural resource protection, access to recreational opportunities, and economic development strategies. The Draft Corridor Management Plan is available for review online and will be open for public comment at the WRLAC’s December 17, 2020 meeting.
