State Coordinating Council
In 2007, the state legislature established the State Coordinating Council (SCC) for Community Transportation. SCC members include representatives from the state departments of Transportation, Health and Human Services, and Education and the Governor’s Commission on Disability; transit providers, the UNH Institute on Disability, AARP, Easter Seals, the community action agencies, regional planning commissions, the Coalition of Aging Services, the Endowment for Health, and Granite State Independent Living.
The SCC is responsible for creating state-level transportation coordination systems and working with regional groups to create Regional Coordination Councils (RCCs) across the state. The SCC is overseen by the Governor and Legislature.
