Program for Alternative Transportation and Health (PATH)

CNHRPC's Program for Alternative Transportation and Health (PATH) is a form of Transportation Demand Management (TDM) that encourages and provides resources for alternative modes of transportation including ridesharing, walking, bicycling, and transit. The program, funded largely by the NH Department of Transportation, is operated by CNHRPC staff.
PATH’s goal is to reduce the number of single occupancy vehicle trips in and around the Concord area by promoting alternatives to driving alone. This can help improve our air quality, reduce traffic congestion, enhance the transportation system, and improve the societal emphasis on personal health and fitness.
Individuals can become PATH members by visiting our website filling out our survey. PATH works closely with NH DOT’s rideshare program and uses their ridematching database. All members are eligible for the Emergency Ride Home benefit, where PATH reimburses the cost of transportation home if caught without a ride in the event of an emergency. PATH also has an Incentive Program with a monthly drawing of prizes donated by local businesses for those who carpool, bike, walk, or take transit to work at least 10 times per month or about twice a week. PATH members are also eligible for discounts at some local retail stores. Membership is free.
Visit PATH’s website at www.path-nh.org for more information or to become a member.
