CommuteSmart New Hampshire (CSNH), formerly known as Commute Green New Hampshire, is a partnership between the state’s regional planning commissions, transit agencies and providers, state agencies, municipalities, businesses, and public health organizations. CSNH is dedicated to encouraging and assisting people across the state to choose sustainable transportation options in place of driving alone, including walking, bicycling, carpooling, telecommuting and using public transportation. CSNH also seeks to educate employees and employers about the benefits of using these travel options and provides them with the resources they need to get started.
In efforts to promote the kick off of CSNH, we are challenging commuters to commute smart – carpool, walk, telecommute, bike or use public transportation. By logging your smart commute in our new trip logger, you can compete with other teams and individuals statewide on real-time leader boards and be eligible to win prizes. Register today to get started!
CommuteSmart Central New Hampshire Database
CSNH also introduces the CommuteSmart Central New Hampshire Database! Register to find a carpool, vanpool, or bicycling buddy. The computer will generate a list of matches based on your home and work addresses. You decide who to contact and how you want to be contacted (phone and/or email). Rest assured, we keep your information private and do not share with other organizations. Your home address will never appear on a match list.
Emergency Ride Home
Worried that you’ll get stuck somewhere without a ride? CommuteSmart Central NH offers an emergency ride home program to ensure access to transportation in case of an emergency. All you have to do is take a taxi or rental car in an emergency, and then submit your receipt and the Emergency Ride Home Form for reimbursement.
